Eurosat

Eurosat PC (2005) Design & Construction: Peter Asaro

I built this multimedia computer after moving to Vienna, Austria. It was just way too expensive to ship Mothership from the US, and it was being used, and a year old. So I built another one, with the idea to make it much lighter! This was good, because it was shipped to Belgium for a while, where my friend Karl conquered various games with it before shipping it to me in Umea, Sweden. When it was shipped to Belgium, the heatsink broke free of its mounting, so it was replaced with a ZALMAN heatsink in Leuven. The main internal components (motherboard, RAM and PSU) were destroyed when it was shipped back to the US, leading to the construction of EurosatREDUX, and parts of the original Eurosat were cannabalized in Multimedia PC.

External components included a GNR 19" LCD, Sony Cineza VPL-HS10 widescreen digital LCD projector for the second monitor, Teufel Concept E Magnum 5.1 surround sound system, and Microsoft German keyboard and Intellimouse Explorer 2.0.
